Some of the Abbreviations found on GSD Pedigree

German Show grades
Seiger VA1 German grand champion (male) at National German breed show
Seigerin VA1 German grand champion (female) at National German breed show
VA –Excellent Select within the top group of the Seiger show
V –Excellent
SG- Very Good (this is the highest grade a dog under 2yrs old can achieve)
G-Good
Kkl 1-(Korklasse 1) Class 1breed survey, recommended for breeding
Kkl 11(Korklasse 11)-Class 2 breed survey, suitable for breeding

Health
Hip status
a stamp hips= German certificate that a dogs hips are of a certain quality, there are 3 grades given ,all acceptable for breeding
a stamp normal
a stamp fast normal(almost normal)
a stamp noch zugelassen (acceptable)
Elbows as hips.

DNA –Tested for proof of parentage

AD –a test for endurance, the dog must trot beside a bicycle for 12 miles at an allotted pace and complete an obedience exercise at the end of the run

Sch 1 -- Schutzhund 1 the first level of qualification requiring the dog to under go tests in tracking, obedience and protection
Sch 2—Schutzhund 2 the intermediate level of qualification requiring the dog to under go tests in tracking, obedience and protection
Sch 3—Schutzhund 3the advanced levels of qualification requiring the dog to under go tests in tracking, obedience and protection
HGH—Herding dog
PH- Police dog
IPO 1,11,0R 111 –Similar qualification to schutzhund
FH1-Advanced tracking dog
FH 11-Superior tracking dog
